Bentley recalls Bentayga Hybrid models over battery fire risk

Bentley has issued a global recall for 558 Bentayga Hybrid vehicles produced between March 29 and November 7, 2023, due to a potential fire risk. The issue involves defective cell modules within the high-voltage battery that can overheat during the charging process.

In Germany, 32 vehicles are affected by this recall. The European safety platform Safety Gate has classified the risk as “serious.” To mitigate the danger, Bentley will implement improved diagnostic software and, if irregularities are detected, will replace the battery module or the entire high-voltage battery unit.
