Bentley unveils Dynamic Symphony sound for electric Torcal model

Bentley has introduced a new acoustic identity called “Dynamic Symphony” for its upcoming electric Torcal model. The sound system was created with real musical instruments and is inspired by the rhythm and character of the brand’s historic engines, rather than trying to imitate combustion noise.

Engineers at Bentley’s Crewe facility studied vintage V8, W12 and other engines, discovering that emotional impact comes from cadence and subtle imperfections. In an experiment they played a V8 recording through parabolic speakers on one side of a studio while a live drummer performed on the opposite side, finding a striking similarity in energy and timing.

Professional musicians then composed an original piece using drums, viola and electric bass, which dynamically intensifies with accelerator input to give drivers a distinctive, responsive auditory experience that preserves the marque’s emotional appeal in a zero‑emission vehicle.
