Bentley unveils Torcal, its first all‑electric SUV, set for September 23 debut

Bentley Motors has announced that its first fully electric model will be called Torcal. The luxury SUV will be unveiled in London on 23 September 2026 and will sit below the Bentayga in the brand’s lineup. Torcal is built on Volkswagen Group’s Premium Platform Electric (PPE), the same architecture used for the Porsche Cayenne Electric, featuring an 800‑volt system, a battery of roughly 108–113 kWh and an expected WLTP range of about 480–560 km. Bentley says the vehicle can add roughly 160 km of range in seven minutes of high‑power charging. The SUV is less than five metres long, uses design cues from the EXP 15 concept, and will be marketed as a “Luxury Urban SUV”. Pricing is projected at about £170 000 (≈ €199 000). The model marks a key step in Bentley’s electrification strategy, which aims for a fully electric lineup by 2030‑2035 while retaining hybrids such as the Bentayga. CEO Frank‑Steffen Walliser said the Torcal “sets extraordinary benchmarks” and blends the marque’s traditional craftsmanship with cutting‑edge electric technology.
