Footage from the shelter shows Bear visibly distressed in his kennel, making vocalizations that some viewers interpreted as sounding like the words “mama” and “I want one.” The dog’s intake notes indicate that he struggles with being left alone. In the video, a shelter volunteer provides comfort by sitting inside the kennel with him, offering pets and gentle reassurance to help ease his anxiety.

According to his shelter profile, Bear is social with other dogs and cats and is already trained in several basic commands, including “sit,” “down,” and “leave it.”
