Benue CAN chairman praises Governor Hyacinth Alia

The acting chairman of the Benue State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Jonathan Terwase Ugbede, has called on Christians in the state to increase their prayers and support for Governor Hyacinth Alia.

Speaking during his 60th birthday celebration at the CAN secretariat in Makurdi, Ugbede praised the governor for his commitment to state development and his sustained support for the church. He highlighted the administration's focus on infrastructure, including road construction, the revitalization of industries, and the redevelopment of public facilities to stimulate economic growth.

Ugbede specifically noted the governor's financial support for religious projects, citing a recent N20 million donation to a church project at Faith Hill Prophetic Assembly in Demekpe, Makurdi. He stated that such support enables Christian organizations to contribute more meaningfully to society.
