Bera Gau Krossa Night Race Sets Record with 268 Runners

The 12th edition of the Gau Krossa night race took place on 1 August in Bera, Navarre, Spain. The event attracted a record 268 participants, the highest turnout in its twelve‑year history.

Idiazabal runner Xabier Sánchez won the men’s 7.8‑km race in 32:56, followed by Aritz Arratibel and Gwendal Larqué. In the women’s race, local athlete Ane Elzaurdia secured her fifth victory in 37:21, ahead of Ainhoa Etxegarai and Oihana Arruti. Youth titles went to Gartxot Iribarren and Uxue Etxegarai, while the squad Eztakit retained the team competition crown. The race was held in a festive atmosphere with music and a large cheering crowd.
