Berane opens 1.6 million euro Agriculture House
Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Vladimir Joković has officially opened the Agriculture House in Berane, Montenegro. The project represents an investment of approximately 1.6 million euros.
The facility is designed to serve agricultural producers from Berane and surrounding municipalities in northern Montenegro, including Andrijevica, Petnjica, Rožaje, Plav, and Gusinje. By centralizing the Regional Office of the Payment Agency, advisory services, inspection bodies, and local agricultural services, the center aims to provide more efficient access to information and support.
Minister Joković stated that the project is part of a broader investment cycle aimed at developing northern Montenegro. He noted that total investments by the Ministry in the Berane municipality over the past four years exceed 10 million euros, covering infrastructure such as roads, water supply, and river regulation. The development includes cooperation with international partners, such as the World Bank, through programs like the Sava and Drina River Corridor Integrated Development Program (SDIP).
