Berat prosecutors seek 21 years in prison for prostitution exploitation

Prosecutors in Berat, Albania, are seeking a total of 21 years in prison for two individuals, R. L. and E. V., accused of exploiting a woman for prostitution to gain financial profit.

According to the prosecution, R. L. is facing 12 years in prison, while E. V. faces 9 years. The investigation alleges that R. L., the victim's partner, actively organized the activity by securing clients and determining prices, while E. V. allegedly presented the woman as a dancer at his club to facilitate exploitation by club patrons.

The victim reported that the two defendants split her earnings and had attempted to send her to Greece, where they would have each demanded 500 euros per month. R. L. admitted to encouraging the victim to provide sexual services due to economic difficulties and stated he had assisted in finding clients in exchange for payment.
