Berazategui authorities rescue malnourished horses from cart

Authorities in Berazategui, Argentina, rescued two horses showing signs of malnutrition and physical lacerations in the El Pato area. The animals were seized and transferred to the Municipal Veterinary Clinic following an intervention by Comisaría Quinta on October 13.

The incident involved a 21-year-old man, identified as Lucas G., who was found operating a cart pulled by the equines. The investigation is being conducted under Law 14.346 regarding animal cruelty. Local regulations, specifically Municipal Ordinance No. 5694, have prohibited animal-drawn transport in Berazategui since 2019.
