Berchidda, Sardinia hosts Time to Children jazz festival for children

From August 10 to 15, the town of Berchidda in Sardinia will host the sixth edition of Time to Children, a free, family‑focused segment of the acclaimed Time in Jazz festival. Directed by violinist and educator Sonia Peana, the 2026 edition is themed around Miles Davis’s landmark album “Kind of Blue” in honour of the trumpeter’s centenary.

The programme combines concerts, interactive workshops, stop‑motion labs and night‑time stargazing activities for children aged 6‑11. Highlights include a “In viaggio con la musica” session led by drummer Christian Meyer and educator Silvia Bolbo, as well as storytelling performances that imagine Davis’s childhood. The festival takes place in historic venues such as Sa colte ‘ and the garden of Sa Casara, inviting families to explore music, art, science and the environment together.
