Berekum City and Steadfast FC return to Ghana's Division One League

Berekum City and Steadfast FC are set to return to the UMB Division One League for the 2026/27 season following their promotion from the Brong Ahafo and Northern Region Division Two Leagues, respectively. Both clubs are seeking to rebuild after being relegated two seasons ago.

In Zone One A, Steadfast FC will open their campaign against Wa Power at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium. The competition aims to secure a top-two finish to qualify for the Premier League promotion playoffs. Other scheduled matches include a local derby between Tamale City and Northern City, and Real Tamale United facing Sankara Nationals at the Yendi Youth Resource Centre.

Zone One B fixtures include Victory Club Warriors versus Bectero Sasana FC at Wenchi Sports Stadium, Eleven Wonders against Mighty Royals at Ohene Ameyaw Park, and Dormaa Unity FC taking on Techiman Liberty Youth at Nana Agyemang Badu I Park. The top two teams from Zone One B will also advance to the playoffs for a chance to compete in the 2027/28 Ghana Premier League.
