Beretta launches APX A1 Ported 9mm pistol

Beretta has introduced the APX A1 Ported, a new variant of its striker-fired 9mm x 19mm semi-automatic pistol. The primary modification is the inclusion of barrel porting, which uses holes in the barrel and slide to direct propellant gases upward, functioning as an integrated compensator to reduce muzzle flip and improve target reacquisition.

In addition to the porting, the new model features several ergonomic and functional upgrades, including a lighter recoil spring, enlarged ambidextrous slide release, and a reversible magazine release. The pistol also includes a high-visibility orange front sight and deep serrations on the frame.

The APX A1 Ported is available in three colors: black, flat dark earth, and olive green. It comes standard with three magazines: two 17-round capacities and one extended 19-round magazine. According to Nicolò Ramus, Beretta’s law enforcement and defense firearms product manager, the model is designed to meet the evolving needs of the tactical shooting market.
