Berg en Dal approves Masterplan Op de Horst development

The municipality of Berg en Dal has approved the ‘Masterplan Op de Horst’, a development project aimed at upgrading the De Horst sports complex and surrounding area. The plan focuses on creating a future-proof space for learning, playing, and sports.

Key components of the plan include the construction of a new childcare and school center, which will occupy the current location of the korfbal field. To accommodate this, sports fields will be relocated, including the replacement of a football field with an artificial grass pitch. The project also addresses climate resilience through improved water management and drainage.

Additionally, the plan includes the redesign of public spaces, traffic safety improvements, and the implementation of a 30km/h zone near the new childcare center. Following municipal council approval expected on October 15, the municipality will proceed with detailed implementation.
