Bergamo criminal gang dismantled following Seriate shooting

An investigation by the Bergamo Prosecutor's Office has dismantled a criminal gang led by 27-year-old El Allali Boutrousse, known as ‘Botros’. The operation follows a violent shooting on June 21, 2026, at the Aquamore pools in Seriate, where an armed commando targeted a rival gang leader. Investigators revealed the Seriate ambush was preceded by another attempt on June 15 in the woods of San Paolo d'Argon.

During the crackdown, authorities arrested four individuals, including Boutros, who was apprehended by GIS Carabinieri in Vigevano on August 29. The operation led to the seizure of a significant arsenal, including Kalashnikov rifles and an AR-15, along with numerous rounds of ammunition. Additionally, police seized approximately 80,000 euros in cash and various narcotics, including hashish, cocaine, and heroin.

In a related discovery, Carabinieri also located three assault rifles and over 100 bullets hidden underground in the woods of Oleggio Castello during the investigation into the group's activities.
