Bergamo youth arrested after threatening cafeteria patrons with iron weapon

On the evening of 29 July 2026, a 24‑year‑old man identified as H. A. brandished an iron blunt object in front of the “Posto Caldo” cafeteria at the Bergamo bus station, frightening dozens of people waiting for meals. Local police observed the disturbed individual, intervened, and disarmed him without injuries to the public. The suspect resisted arrest and was subsequently detained. The following morning a judge ordered his pre‑trial custody in prison.
