Bergen arena project and fuel tax proposals move forward

In Bergen, political representatives from Høyre, Venstre, and Arbeiderpartiet are advocating for the development of a new city arena at Nygårdstangen. The project aims to revitalize the area by replacing the current parking garage with a multi-purpose venue for sports, exhibitions, and concerts, alongside parks and trees. The Bergen City Council has already approved an agreement with developers to initiate the project.

On the national political stage, Frp leader Sylvi Listhaug has criticized the Høyre party regarding fuel costs. Listhaug is scheduled to propose permanent cuts to fuel taxes in the Storting next week.
