Bergisch Innovation Congress explores AI's regional impact

The 8th Bergisch Innovation and Education Congress, held at the Bergische Chamber of Industry and Commerce, focused on the opportunities and limitations of artificial intelligence in business. Approximately 140 participants from administration, science, and industry attended the event.

A panel discussion featuring Wuppertal Mayor Miriam Scherff, IHK President Henner Pasch, and University of Wuppertal Rector Birgitta Wolff addressed how AI can serve as a competitive advantage for regional companies. Discussions emphasized the importance of responsible technology use, with Mayor Scherff stating that AI should support rather than make decisions.
