Bergneustadt loses Kreisliga A match due to ineligible player

In the German Kreisliga A, the match committee has overturned the result of the Bergneustadt vs. Marienhagen game. Originally won 1-0 by Bergneustadt, the match has been awarded to Marienhagen due to the use of an ineligible player.

The dispute centers on whether a player's four-game suspension had expired. Bergneustadt argued that the player had served part of the suspension during friendly matches, including one against the club's own reserve team. However, the West German Football Association (WDFV) regulations state that training matches between two teams of the same club do not count toward serving a suspension. Consequently, the player was deemed ineligible for the league match against Marienhagen.
