Bergneustadt Mayor addresses wind energy concerns

In Bergneustadt, Mayor Matthias Thul held an information evening for approximately 120 citizens ahead of a scheduled public consultation regarding wind energy projects. The session addressed local concerns including potential property value decreases, increased heavy vehicle traffic, impact on forest paths, and tourism.

During the meeting, Thul addressed questions regarding the city's ability to prevent these projects. He noted that the municipality owns approximately 3.1 hectares of the nearly 26-hectare wind energy area in the Sülemicke region.
