Bergneustadt Sonnenschule receives funding for educational projects

Regierungspräsident Gregor Lange has personally delivered a funding notification to the Sonnenschule ‘Auf dem Bursten’ in Bergneustadt. The school is receiving 22,800 euros through the federal and state ‘Startchancen-Programm’.

This funding is designated for the sustainable equipment of rooms for the ‘Brückenprojekt’ and for social educators at the school. A key component of this support is the ‘Starterklasse’, a specialized initiative within the program designed to strengthen basic competencies and support students facing social challenges. The school, which serves approximately 360 students across 16 classes, qualifies for the program due to its social index rating.
