Bergstraße district launches collective fruit tree order

The Bergstraße district in Germany is hosting a collective order for fruit trees to promote biodiversity and landscape maintenance. Residents can choose from 94 different varieties, including apples, pears, and cherries. The trees offered are high-stem varieties with a minimum trunk height of 1.60 meters, making them suitable for large gardens and orchard meadows.

To assist citizens in Zwingenberg and Rodau, the Verschönerungsverein Rodau (VVR) has organized a local distribution point in Rodau to simplify the pickup process. Orders can be placed via the Bergstraße district website or through the Zwingenberg municipal administration. The program includes options for classic varieties as well as heat-resistant trees designed for difficult soil conditions.
