Berhan Şimşek faces domestic violence allegations from former partner

Özlem Şanver, who ended a nine-and-a-half-year relationship with Berhan Şimşek, has provided detailed allegations of domestic violence following the leak of security camera footage. Şanver claims the footage only captures a fraction of the abuse, alleging that more severe incidents, including choking and property damage, occurred out of the camera's view.

Şanver further alleges that Şimşek subjected her to economic violence by preventing her from working and restricting her monthly budget. She also claimed that after the footage became public, Şimşek made disparaging remarks regarding his increased clientele.

Regarding political repercussions, Şanver criticized the Republican People's Party (CHP), stating that she did not receive the expected support from party officials despite having a formal medical report of assault. She alleged that some party members responded with dismissive attitudes, suggesting that the violence was not severe enough unless it resulted in more significant physical injury.
