Berignone Crossing inaugural trail running event held in Volterra

The inaugural Erta Terra Berignone Crossing trail running event took place in the geothermal region between Pomarance and Volterra, Italy. Organized by Atletica Volterra, the event featured three different race distances with a start and finish point in Marzolla.

In the main 52 km Ultra Trail, Matteo Braccialini secured first place with a time of 6h08’24”, followed by Marco De Paolo and Francesco Monticelli. Alessandra Brotto won the women’s category for the same distance.

The 32 km Trail saw Mirko Becherini take the men's victory in 3h00’59”, while Flavia Matteoli won the women's race. For the 20 km Short course, Lorenzo Pantani and Giulia Pantani claimed the top spots in the men's and women's categories, respectively.
