Berisso Plan Domus housing project faces union occupation and budget surge
The Plan Domus housing project in Berisso has faced significant complications following attempts by the company EMAC SA to take possession of the construction site. Upon arrival, the company reportedly found the site occupied by the UOCRA La Plata union faction led by Braian Medina.
Sources indicate that the union claimed a prior arrangement to manage the labor, despite EMAC SA winning the tender. Allegations have surfaced suggesting that the instruction to coordinate with the Medina group originated from the office of Mayor Fabián Cagliardi.
The project, intended to provide 28 homes for families of victims of state terrorism, has been delayed since 2011. The original budget has escalated from approximately $5.1 million to over $1.2 billion, representing a more than 236-fold increase in costs.
