Berk Inaler out six weeks after Achilles surgery for FC Rot‑Weiß Erfurt

Berk Inaler, a 26‑year‑old central midfielder who joined FC Rot‑Weiß Erfurt from SV Sandhausen, has undergone surgery on his right Achilles tendon. The club announced that the operation was successful but that Inaler will likely be unavailable for about six weeks. Coach Fabian Gerber said, “Vermutlich wird er sechs Wochen ausfallen,” and added that he hopes Inaler can begin rehabilitation training within a month.

Inaler, one of seven new signings for the Regionalliga side, has not played since December. The coach expects the midfielder’s experience and box‑to‑box style to strengthen the team’s centre once he returns to full training.
