Berkant Bolat Music Workshop opens in Çorum

The Berkant Bolat Music Workshop has opened at the Büyükdüvenci Primary and Middle School in Çorum, Turkey. The facility was established by Yasemen Bolat to honor the memory of her late husband, Berkant Bolat, a music teacher and saz artist.

The workshop aims to provide music education and instrument introduction to primary and middle school students, helping them develop interest and discover musical talents. The opening ceremony was attended by local officials, including Çorum Governor Ali Çalgan, Member of Parliament Mehmet Tahtasız, and Çorum Mayor Dr. Halil İbrahim Aşgın.

During the ceremony, Yasemen Bolat delivered an emotional speech, noting that the opening coincided with her wedding anniversary. The event included musical performances by school teachers and a rendition of the song ‘Mor Çiçektin Sen’, which was reportedly written by the late Berkant Bolat.
