Berkeley entrepreneurs Michelle Min and Bryan Walker found dead

Police are investigating the deaths of Michelle Min, 63, and Bryan Walker, 61, who were found dead from gunshot wounds outside their home in the Berkeley Hills on Friday. While authorities have not officially ruled the incident a murder-suicide, a firearm was recovered at the scene, and no suspect is being sought.

Min and Walker were the founders of Bryn Walker, a prominent women’s clothing boutique established in 1992. The business operates a flagship store in Berkeley and wholesales to approximately 1,000 retailers across the United States.

Family members have indicated that Walker had been struggling with mental health issues and significant financial distress. Michelle Min’s brother, Paul Min, reported that Walker had recently made risky financial decisions resulting in losses of millions of dollars, which led to depression and suicidal ideation. Neighbors held a vigil on Sunday to mourn the couple, with many expressing belief that the incident was a murder-suicide.
