Berkshire Hathaway maintains major stakes in Apple and Coca-Cola

Berkshire Hathaway continues to manage a massive investment portfolio valued at approximately $363.1 billion, according to its second-quarter financial report. The firm's equity holdings are heavily concentrated, with 66% of its variable capital held in just five companies: Apple, Alphabet, American Express, Bank of America, and Coca-Cola.

Apple remains the firm's largest single investment, with roughly $78.2 billion allocated to the tech giant, despite Warren Buffett's historical hesitation toward technology stocks.

In a recent move, Berkshire Hathaway agreed to invest an additional $330 million in the Italian tech conglomerate Bending Spoons. This follows a $600 million injection during the company's public offering in July, bringing Berkshire's total stake to 4%. The announcement triggered a significant surge in Bending Spoons' stock price, a phenomenon often referred to as the ‘Buffett effect’. Bending Spoons specializes in acquiring and optimizing digital businesses, including brands such as Evernote, WeTransfer, and Vimeo.
