Berlin and Dresden flea markets draw community crowds

On 5 September 2026 the Kieztrödel “Firlefanz” will take place in the Marienfelde‑Süd neighbourhood of Berlin (Waldsassener Straße 42a). The market is organised by local volunteers with support from the W40 quarter office of AG SPAS e.V. Residents can set up their own stalls, bring tables and chairs, and a registration fee of €4 covers promotional costs. The event runs from 09:00 to 14:00 and is promoted as a chance for neighbours to browse and chat.

The first Neustädter Nachttrödel is scheduled for 1 August 2026 in the former Putzi heating plant in Dresden (Stetzscher Straße 4‑6). Over 1 000 boxes of vintage items – from Villeroy & Boch dishes to technical rarities – will be on display, with organiser Sven Hellmich saying, “Da sollte für jeden Vintage‑Fan etwas dabei sein.” The flea market runs alongside a grill festival offering meat, vegetarian and vegan options.

Both events aim to give old objects a second life while fostering local community interaction.
