Berlin and Freiburg host community summer festivals

In Berlin, the Union of Administration and Transport (GVV) invited members to a summer festival on 23 September 2026 at the Forstamt Tegel. The event will provide a buffet that includes deer meat and drinks, and participants are asked to bring side dishes. It is reachable by U6 to Alt‑Tegel followed by bus 124.

In Freiburg, the municipal cinema organized a free summer festival on 25 July featuring the migrant‑feminist textile art project Story Cloth, a benefit concert by Misagh Joolaee and Bakr Khleifi, and an open‑air screening of the animated film Persepolis. All collected donations were sent to Medico International for emergency aid in Iran, Lebanon, Gaza and the West Bank.
