Berlin anti-zoo protest faces scrutiny over attendance and invasive seeds

An anti-zoo demonstration in Berlin, promoted by Robert Marc Lehmann, is facing scrutiny over discrepancies in participant numbers and the distribution of invasive plant seeds.

While organizers and co-organizer Caroh Weber reported approximately 4,000 attendees, the Berlin Police estimated the peak attendance at roughly 2,500 people. This difference represents a 37.5 percent deviation from the figures circulated by the organizers.

Additionally, Caroh Weber issued a warning via Instagram stating that seed packets distributed during the event contained invasive plant species. She advised recipients to discard the seeds rather than planting them or spreading them in nature. The incident has raised questions regarding potential violations of German and European nature conservation laws.
