Berlin Art Week celebrates 15th anniversary with city-wide festival
Berlin Art Week is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a city-wide festival featuring more than 300 events. The program includes over 100 exhibition openings across 125 locations, including museums, private collections, galleries, and the Positions Berlin Art Fair.
Central to the festival is the ‘Berlin Art Week Garden’ located at the Kulturforum, with sites at the Neue Nationalgalerie and the Gemäldegalerie. The festival offers a diverse schedule of talks, performances, workshops, film screenings, and DJ sets, many of which are free to the public. Artistic Director Mona Stehle noted that the event aims to consolidate the energy and diversity of the Berlin art scene into a single concentrated week.
Supporting the festival's longevity, Berliner Volksbank has extended its partnership with Berlin Art Week until 2028. Carsten Jung, CEO of Berliner Volksbank, stated that the bank's commitment is a long-term investment in Berlin's cultural diversity rather than short-term sponsorship, emphasizing the importance of art in fostering social dialogue and new perspectives.
