A funeral service error at Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) has resulted in a legal dispute after an urn was swapped during transport. A senior woman in Berlin was left waiting for days after her long-time friend, who passed away while on vacation in Spain, had her ashes mistakenly collected by a funeral director.

The deceased was cremated in Spain, and her urn was intended to be flown back to Germany. However, the funeral home picked up the wrong urn from the airport, which belonged to a stranger. The situation has since escalated into a court case.
