Berlin campaign worker insulted and coerced in Steglitz
A 38-year-old campaign worker was insulted and coerced in the Berlin district of Steglitz during the election for the House of Representatives.
The incident occurred on a Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Schloßstraße and Grunewaldstraße while the woman was replacing election posters. An unknown man approached her, insulted her, and subsequently blocked her path, refusing to move aside when she requested him to do so.
A bystander, an acquaintance of the woman who was in a nearby bakery, intervened by stepping between the victim and the man, causing the suspect to flee the scene. The woman was not injured. The State Protection division of the Landeskriminalamt has taken over the investigation.
