Müller expands leadership as founder Erwin Müller remains active at 95

Erwin Müller, the 94-year-old founder of the Müller drugstore group, is expanding the company's executive leadership. Sascha Zahner has been appointed as managing director alongside Müller, who has previously served as the sole managing director.

Müller intends to focus his efforts in his 95th year on essential entrepreneurial decisions. The company's seven-member management board, led by spokesperson Elke Menold, will remain in place. Menold continues to serve as a trusted representative for the family both internally and externally.

The Müller Handelsgruppe is a major player in the German drugstore industry, operating over 950 branches across nine European countries and employing approximately 35,500 people. The company plans to prioritize investments in digitalization and logistics.
