Berlin Christopher Street Day performances by Ikkimel and Sarah Connor

On the evening of the Christopher Street Day (CSD) weekend in Berlin, rapper Ikkimel performed at the Brandenburg Gate before a crowd of about 8,000 people. Police removed four men they identified as alleged right‑wing agitators before the concert began. The event also featured the city’s first drag march, which moved from the Bundestag U‑station to the Brandenburg Gate, and a Dyke* March that drew more than 5,000 participants.

The following day, singer Sarah Connor took the main stage at the Brandenburg Gate, also performing without a fee. Organisers highlighted the CSD’s motto “Haltung ist hot” and emphasized its focus on queer visibility, democracy and human rights. The parade later that Saturday proceeded with 83 floats and hundreds of thousands of attendees moving through Berlin.

Ikkimel thanked the queer community, saying, “It is an honour to be here and fight for us,” while Sarah Connor said, “The queer community has always supported me.”
