Berlin election polls show tight race between CDU and AfD
Recent polling for the upcoming Berlin Abgeordnetenhaus election indicates a highly competitive race among several parties. According to a Forsa survey, the CDU and AfD are currently tied for second place, each holding 18 percent of the vote. The Greens follow closely with 16 percent, while the SPD sits in fifth place at 12 percent.
An Insa survey presents a slightly different landscape, showing the CDU in a narrow lead with 20 percent, followed by the Left Party at 19 percent, the AfD at 17 percent, the Greens at 16 percent, and the SPD at 15 percent. In both polling scenarios, smaller parties such as the FDP and BSW are projected to fall below the five percent threshold required to enter the state parliament. The data suggests that forming a majority through a two-party coalition would be unlikely, pointing toward the necessity of three-party alliances.
