Police investigate various fraud cases and long-term robbery suspect arrest

Police in Croatia are investigating several fraud cases involving internet-based scams. In Đurđevac, a 77-year-old woman was defrauded of several hundred euros after being misled by an individual posing as a cryptocurrency platform representative.

In the Zadar region, authorities are investigating three separate cases of accommodation fraud. Tourists and residents reported paying hundreds to over a thousand euros for vacation rentals in Vir, Kožina, and Zadar, only to discover upon arrival that the advertised properties did not exist.

In a separate development, German police announced the arrest of a 70-year-old suspect in Spain. The individual is linked to a 2014 bank robbery in Aachen, where masked perpetrators stole more than 400,000 euros after threatening employees with firearms.
