Berlin group claims responsibility for power line arson

An unknown group calling itself ‘Kinder des Zorns’ (Children of Wrath) has claimed responsibility for an arson attack on power lines in Berlin-Marzahn. The group sent a confession to the Berlin public prosecutor's office, stating they intentionally disrupted the power supply of several technology companies.

The group claimed their targets included manufacturers of ‘dual-use’ products, which serve both civilian and military purposes. The attack occurred on October 5 under a bridge on Boxberger Straße, where perpetrators ignited old tires and debris beneath power cables. The incident forced 19 companies and businesses to rely on emergency power supplies.

The State Security department of the State Criminal Police Office (LKA), which handles politically motivated crimes, is leading the investigation. This incident follows previous professional attacks on power lines in Berlin, which have been attributed to left-wing extremist groups.
