Berlin historical war memorials documented in archival records

In Berlin-Moabit, a memorial dedicated to pyrotechnicians who fell during World War I or died during ammunition disposal was established in 1925. Designed by Alwin Völkel, the monument featured bronze reliefs on a granite base. The original site was destroyed by a scrap dealer in 1949, though a successor monument incorporating those lost in World War II exists in Berlin-Lichterfelde.

In Berlin-Schöneberg, a war memorial at the Prinz-Heinrich-Gymnasium was inaugurated in 1922. The monument, featuring an eagle atop a stele, was originally dedicated to those lost in World War I. Following World War II, the inscription was modified to include the fallen of the second conflict.
