Berlin hosts exhibition on women in divided Germany

The Federal Foundation for the Reappraisal of the SED Dictatorship is hosting an exhibition titled ‘Women in Divided Germany’ in Berlin. Running from February 4 to April 26, 2026, the exhibition uses 20 posters curated by Clara Marz to illustrate the differing lived realities of women in the FRG and the GDR during the 1970s and 1980s.

The display examines social stereotypes and the pursuit of self-determination within male-dominated systems. A discussion session with the curator is scheduled for March 23, 2026, at the foundation's office in Schöneweide.
