Berlin hosts International German Para Swimming Championships

Para swimmers from Chemnitz achieved notable success at the International German Championships (IDM) held in Berlin. The event, which coincided with the World Para Swimming World Series, featured high-level competition.

Amelie Fröhlich, 14, secured the title of International German Champion in her youth class for the 200m breaststroke with a time of 3:31.75, setting a new German record in her start class. Felix Ziegner, 12, earned second place in the 50m breaststroke and 50m backstroke, as well as third place in the 100m breaststroke within the Youth C category. Julia Cohrt competed across multiple freestyle and backstroke distances, navigating the pool without visual orientation due to severe visual impairment.
