Berlin hosts outdoor cinema events in August

Berlin is hosting several outdoor cinema events this August. Gutshaus Lichterfelde will present two open-air film evenings under the theme of ‘Empathy’. The program includes the animation film ‘Up’ (presented in German with Farsi subtitles) and ‘Hidden Figures’ (presented in English with German subtitles).

Additionally, the 15th UFA-Filmnächte will take place from August 26 to 28 at the Museumsinsel’s Kolonnadenhof. This series focuses on German directors who influenced Hollywood, such as Ernst Lubitsch. The event features silent film classics accompanied by live music, including a performance by the Roaring Dames during a screening of Lubitsch’s 1925 film ‘Lady Windermere’s Fan’.
