Berlin hosts sustainability and innovation awards at BIG BANG AI Festival

The German Institute for Service Quality (DISQ) and DUP UNTERNEHMER magazine have held award ceremonies in Berlin to recognize excellence in sustainability and innovation. These events took place during the BIG BANG AI Festival, Europe’s largest cross-industry AI event.

The sustainability awards honored 46 winners across 19 categories from a pool of 433 nominees. The projects focused heavily on United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and SDG 13 (Climate Action). Jury chair Prof. Dr. Claudia Kemfert emphasized that sustainable economic practices are essential for securing long-term prosperity.

Additionally, the BIG BANG INNOVATION Award recognized 53 winners across 22 categories for outstanding innovation in the German economy. These awards spanned various sectors, including health, technology, energy, and tourism, highlighting achievements from both startups and large corporations. Notable recipients included TÜV Nord for AI-assisted auditing.
