Berlin leads Germany in barber shop density

A recent industry analysis by Listflix reveals the distribution and density of barber shops across Germany. Out of 2,776 barber shops nationwide, Berlin holds the highest density with 4.91 shops per 100,000 inhabitants.

In Bavaria, Munich has the highest total number of shops with 50 establishments, but it does not lead in density. Ingolstadt ranks first in the state for density, offering 11 shops per 100,000 residents. Nuremberg follows with 5.67 shops per 100,000, while Augsburg ranks third in the regional comparison with 4.65 shops per 100,000 residents.

Coinciding with World Beard Day on September 5, the data highlights the growing prevalence of grooming culture in urban centers like Berlin, where the traditional barber pole remains a common sight in districts such as Neukölln and Kreuzberg.
