Berlin-Lichtenberg hosts film series at former Stasi headquarters

The Campus-Kino film series is currently hosting its seventh season at the former Stasi headquarters in Berlin-Lichtenberg. The event offers free admission to screenings held in the courtyard of the former Ministry for State Security, providing a unique historical backdrop near the Stasi Museum and the former offices of Erich Mielke.

In addition to film screenings, the series includes guided tours, exhibitions, and discussions with historians and eyewitnesses. A major upcoming highlight is the screening of the film biography ‘Hunger auf Leben’ on August 24, which depicts the life of writer Brigitte Reimann. The film stars Martina Gedeck, who will participate in a personal discussion with the audience alongside director Markus Imboden following the presentation.
