The Berlin Music Commission and Musicboard Berlin have announced funding for 28 international travel projects aimed at expanding the reach of the Berlin music scene. The Music Ambassador Program will support 17 music industry companies and 11 projects involving artists and their professional teams.
These subsidized trips, which are scheduled to take place through November 30, 2026, target festivals, conferences, residencies, and potential partners across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas. Key destinations include Rabat, Mexico City, Las Palmas, São Paulo, Johannesburg, and Taipei, among others.
The program's primary objectives are to open new markets, establish durable international connections, and initiate professional and artistic collaborations. Olaf Kretschmar, Chairman of the Berlin Music Commission, noted that the program aims to ensure that knowledge and new perspectives flow back into the Berlin music ecosystem to strengthen it long-term.
