Berlin offers diverse historical and cultural landmarks

Berlin offers various cultural and historical sites beyond its major landmarks. Mauerpark in the Prenzlauer Berg district is a notable location, particularly on Sundays, featuring a flea market and karaoke in its amphitheater. Another significant site is Teufelsberg, an artificial hill made from WWII debris that served as a US military listening station during the Cold War and is now known for its graffiti and panoramic views.

In the Köpenick district, the Rathaus Köpenick hosts an exhibition regarding the historical “Captain of Köpenick” incident. In 1906, Wilhelm Voigt, an unemployed shoemaker, used a stolen captain's uniform to commandeer soldiers and seize the city treasury. Visitors can view the original imperial-era safe and related documents at the site.
