Berlin plans widespread public viewing venues for 2026 FIFA World Cup

Berlin will host a network of public‑viewing sites for the 2026 FIFA World Cup after the city decided against a single central fan mile at the Brandenburg Gate. From June 11 to July 19, 2026, twelve districts will offer screenings on large screens, in beer gardens, former airport Tempelhof, beach‑style locations, pubs, cultural venues, shopping centres and even a church with live organ music. Most events are free, though some may require tickets or reservations for popular Germany matches.

The tournament will be staged across the United States, Canada and Mexico with 48 national teams playing 104 matches. Germany’s group games are scheduled for 19:00 and 22:00 local time, giving relatively convenient kick‑off times for German fans. The public‑viewing guide lists venues such as the Center at Potsdamer Platz, Astra Kulturhaus, Kulturbrauerei, Uber Platz, Beach Neukölln, Strandbad Wendenschloss and the Zwölf‑Apostel‑Kirche.
