Berlin Police investigate attempted robbery in Neukölln

Police in Berlin-Neukölln are investigating an attempted robbery and extortion that occurred in a hair salon on Roseggerstraße.

According to authorities, a 20-year-old man demanded a payment in the mid-four-digit range from a 23-year-old victim. The confrontation moved outside the shop, where a 22-year-old suspect joined and reinforced the demand using threats of violence. During the encounter, the 22-year-old suspect allegedly snatched a mobile phone from the victim.

The suspects reportedly instructed the victim to return to the location at 9:00 PM with the requested amount. However, the victim contacted the police instead. Officers arrived shortly after and temporarily detained both suspects at the salon. They were taken for identification processing and subsequently released, while the criminal police continue their investigations into the attempted robbery.
